I don't have FB but ( Patten ) a member here, has had a Afrezza FB page for over a year. ( I think Sam and Hillard do also )... Can we do a search for interest in Afrezza on Google for the last month? I can't seem to do it. Try this one: www.semrush.com/info/afrezza.comSeems they haven't yet posted data that would reflect response to Reversed. One thing that does surprise me at semrush, if it is at all accurate (have no idea whether it is), is that they don't list other insulins within the keywords that resulted in clicks. If they aren't doing it they should used paid clicks for the following keywords... Aprida, Novolog, Humalog, Tujeo, etc. These are searched for way more often that "Afrezza" and it is standard digital marketing to do this so your "sponsored" ad appears at the top of the page when someone searches for a related product. If anyone has conduit into MNKD I'd be really interested whether they do this and if not, why not.

That is hands down the best insulin advert I have seen (thanks to BD for the MP4). The "not rely solely on injections" line was interesting. I wonder if they are going to position Afrezza as an adjunct.I would just think that is recognizing the reality that guidelines are for basal to always be used in conjunction with prandial, though perhaps it was meant to spark the idea that Afrezza could be used in certain situations and subq prandial in others. Hopefully use of Afrezza isn't limited to ONLY when a hamburger actually drops from the sky.

Just talked to him. Make that 50! What would be typical for that time period? None, this all happened yesterday. He has a administrator that runs it for him and I don't think they have had many new people in awhile. They both bought more shares today. Lol

Lol If his was the FB site that had the commercial posted to it and its link posted here yesterday, I think a lot of the new joins were just people here wanting to view it (like myself). In which case I wouldn't read much into the jump in membership.

I found it underwhelming. The sanofi ad was better. No insulin/outsulin characters. No snap, click, inhale. Lengthy black box warnings You have to be kidding. OR, you're a short seller.

Won't miss outsulin guy at ALL. All it did was remind me of richard simmons The outsulin guy serves a purpose. It helps to brand Afrezza. Its not enough to be another mealtime insulin. We heard quite a bit from Mike C when he was hired that yes inhaled is a nice feature, but the issue is that this insulin is rapid in & rapid out. A superior insulin.
Why are doctors and patients going to change their plan of care unless there is something new and better? MNKD needs to brand the idea of rapid in & rapid out.

That isn't the way the world works. Repeat this process with all good things Afrezza does. Step one in communicating with people is going to a diabetes forum and reading. When people describe their problems, which of them can be helped by a faster acting insulin (or any other property of Afrezza)? Step two is realizing solving those problems is the benefits you're offering. Step three is deciding how to explain in the most clear, low-key and accurate manner possible how Afrezza provides those benefits; solves those problems. Step four is answering people's questions with the answer created in Step 3. Step five is waiting for people in the real world to report that Afrezza fast acting property benefited them and to provide encouragement, and to spread their message. After writing that, I went to search twitter with keyword Afrezza and saw this. It's backwards, people care about the benefits not the speed. It's actually counterproductive. People naturally assume that if it provided them a benefit you'd say what it was. The speed of Insulin never looked or felt so good! Just inhale Afrezza at mealtime or snacktime & feel the benefits of the FASTEST insulin.

There is another component of Step Three that also plays a BIG part in commercials. MannKind has to decide how explain within the confines of what the FDA will allow under the current label.

I like the commercial because the primary message and takeaway is that it IMPROVES THE QUALITY OF LIFE, i.e. inhale vs needle whenever needed. This should be on right on target for the goal of getting diabetics to try Afrezza. This seems far better than trying to try to pull them in with the clinical argument of insulin/outsulin, fast in/fast out, PK/PD profile. Improvements are needed but this is not a bad first start...IMHO
