I'm holding out until it hits 4's to pick up more. I sure hope it doesn't but watching it take a quarter drop daily trying to refrain since i've been loading up from 7's down. Took my largest position before adcom but still in red. I'm a believer in Al, the technology and product(s) but not so much in the system (stock market, etc). Feeling a lot like Griswald from Vegas Vacation. Just for a laugh since nothing laughable about what is happening to the PPS this specific quote came to mind "You don't know when to quit, do ya Griswold?... Here's an idea: Why don't you give me half the money your were gonna to bet, then we'll go out back, I'll kick you in the nuts, and we'll call it a day!" I'm in the same position. Had nice gains from pre adcom holdings, but now have averaged up to a point of being in the red. Down 5%... Happy birthday to me. If you see a green porcupine scurrying around that's actually Mr. Lizard after his attempt at the daring performance titled... catching falling knives. Ouch!... just caught one in the lower back.

I personally feel this is a spring that has been pushed down (beyond where i though was possible) to a point where it could recoil any day. I'll keep an eye out for the porcupine... I'd probably try to pet it at this point as cut up as my hands already are I strongly believe one of these days (i've got time but would rather see it sooner than later) we'll all reminisce about these days. I would also like to think that Al is old school and this whole situation would pi$$ him off also. I have even though bout buying a lotto ticket just for the daydream of having an extra 5 / 10 million to throw at this as a F you to those shorting and manipulating it but likely it wouldn't make a difference until numbers start rolling in. I would imagine Al is in a blackout period where he cannot purchase due ti likely insider information. Just a though.

I think that's what's really makes me go "What the F!!!!" If I was Al, I'd certainly make an effort to stop the slide! About the spring(board)...it's unfortunately about to snap! The stock has to go up 100%+ just to get CLOSE to the Aug high!!! Then remember sales will be a "Controlled" start, i.e. not much sales (My guess <$500M for the first year). I'd love to be wrong, and will GLADLY admit it!

Nothing is adding up for me personally which can only make we wonder what is going on behind closed doors. It adds to a ton of speculation which just makes things worse... I feel i've combed through everything i can get my hands on and feel this is a great investment but the PPS is saying otherwise. For full disclosure this is my first biotech stock investment. My other investments are in funds and tech as i work in tech.

Presuming that Al knows that Sanofi is behind this and realizes the level of profits that will roll in, he may not view this as having "lost" half a billion. Losses are only paper losses if you have no plans of selling low and have confidence that the share price will go back up. I'm sure Al has NOT borrowed against his shares or anything crazy like that, so he has the luxury of ignoring share price movement... now that there is no need to raise more capital.

You assume Al lives long enough to make the profit he was expecting from MNKD! I have my doubts about Sanofi's passion for Afrezza. In Agile Software speak, MNKD is the pig and it's their bacon on the line here, while Sanofi is the chicken and is only providing the egg. This is suppose to be a TA discussion...soooo...TA says SELL! Rinse and repeat! Seriously, we can talk 50day, 200day, MACD, etc...nothing looks good. My only, and WAY Too late advice, is to buy Puts in the afternoon then sell when the shorts knock the price down at the open! That's the only way (OK, not THE only way) to have made money on MNKD for the last two months.

I agree about Al's motivation, and that he believes shareholders will be amply rewarded. Oh, and don't forget to throw another $100-$250M in milestone payments on top of 2015 sales earnings. Matt's comments puts margin at around 85%. The one answer I couldn't get out of him was whether that was a sales margin that is after Sanofi's expenses. He simply confirmed by his assertion that we're looking at the equivalent of a mid-20% royalty deal.

Uptrend line going back to Nov. 2012 comes in at about $4.95. Maybe we'll find some support in here. 200 Week moving average comes in at $4.43. Uptrend line going back to May 2012 comes in at $3.75

2 hours ago, you had this pegged at 3's. "not if, but when? Now, we hit bottom?

2 hours ago, you had this pegged at 3's. "not if, but when? Now, we hit bottom? Correct! I felt the 52-week low could be the bottom since nothing was stopping the shorts from methodically working the price down. Before it was the 200-day ave, then Pre-Adcom high ($6.50-ish), next maybe $5 where retail shorts couldn't short anymore. The poster felt the open gap was the bottom, and I congratulated him on what looks to be a better call then mine. I didn't think that gap being closed would trigger the reversal. For the time being he's correct and really only the price moving up for a week or so will confirm the reversal. We have imperfect information to make judgements...I've been saying since we dropped below $9 that the bottom will not be found for a while, but I couldn't figure out where it would be (and asked for posters thoughts). As we approached $5 I felt the next shorts target was the 52-week low ($3.85-ish). Today's chart is following the overall market so MNKD price might still depend on how it does. We get another 300 pt down day, then MNKD could drop below today's low.

Shares are very scarce: Symbol: MNKD Availability: 8,000 Exchanges: NASDAQ FYI, this was at 700,000 going into yesterday's open So what does this likely mean? If the stock were going up from short covering wouldn't the avail shares go up, not down dramatically. Is this perhaps and indication that it is new longs that are driving the price up and the dropping shares to short might actually be shorts digging themselves in deeper trying to keep a lid on this?

Excellent question. Could someone with a lot of leant shares have strategically pulled them out of the lending pool?
