Yet again....3 years in a row....NO to Afrezza. Lectured today as my A1C is 10 with 3 meds. Quit Metformin 14 months ago due to side effects - so 2 meds. Told today...It's going to be insulin injections, said I am NOT a pin cushion! OK then told I can spend $400 a month for RYbellus (Sp?) OK so do I sell my house and buy a trailer? I am 62 and will have to wait until 65 with today's news about Medicare Part D covering. My Dr. said Afrezza will not help me without insulin. I have a lot invested and hope I can afford before age 65. Are there any Doctors in Cleveland, OH who have better attitudes? So dissapointed!!! Thank you for listening.

According to everything here VDex will take care of you. Sports? I know, Sports reads most everything here, just calling her attention to this - sportsrancho Also, just to emphasize what sweedee said, Afrezza is monomeric insulin, and the op's doc should know that at the very least. |

Afrezza IS insulin... OMG!!! I still get furious when I hear stuff like this.. You for sure need a different doc... Vdex!! Well, it could be that the doctor meant to say, that Afrezza is a mealtime insulin while the patient would need an additional solution for his baseline during the day |

Agusta-- Gotta ask, not to sound condescending , but if you knew the doctor was unwilling to write the RX for you the first time you asked, why suffer a second and third time knowing that the he/she was not going to change? I really hope that you can get the treatment you desire. Sports I really hope you guys open A LOT MORE Vdex locations as I am sure (as I have been invested in MNKD since 2012) this problem is fairly common, if not the most common. Hard headed I know better than my patients doctors, and while I understand the reluctance to change, they need to listen to WTF their patients are saying. As in the case of Agusta, 62 years and being talked down to, unacceptable. Please change doctors. All I can say is that Afrezza = game changer. Best of luck.

I know sometimes the doc’s say, “Well I’ll do some reading up on it and then we’ll talk next time” Never really intending to in some cases.
