Just curious with hindsight being 20/20. Could have sold and bought back twice the shares, plus what I have added. If I am an idiot, tell me. Won't hurt my feellings. I just never, ever thought we'd get a buying opportunity at under $5 again.

Welcome to the (same) boat everyone! Yes, the name Dreamboat seems a bit incongruous with the current level of rough seas, and a few of us are turning green with nausea... oh wait, that's my normal color. Anyway, welcome on board... cocktails and partying on the lido deck this coming summer. What's that guy in the crows nest yelling about ice? YES... yes... we'll have ice for the drinks... such a worrier.

First, just to set the record straight, I am an idiot. However, I did sell several thousand shares and warrants in premarket and during first 30 minutes of trading the day the deal was announced. My mistake was I tried to place multiple limit orders to sell Jan '15 calls when the market opened. Unfortunately, I sold very little of these calls as I chased the sinking bid. Now I am jammed w/ the Jan 15 options with very little hope of recovery, barring a miracle.
Long term I remain optimistic and have actually bot back some of what I sold. Oops, almost failed to mention, I sold Nov $8 puts that I am obliged to cover at effective price (after premium) of $6.65. Did I mention "I'm an idiot"?

Hindsight is very clear indeed. I as well was sitting at under 4 average PPS, road it up then started averaging up (DOH) on the way down. Bought more today at 4.989.
Looking back and knowing what i know now i would have loved to sold in the 11's and bought back today 2x as many shares. My reality is I believe the stock in the next couple of years is going to make me very happy and have always thought that so didn't sell in the 11's not wanting to miss out on the real fun when she's north of 20!
I believe in Al and i know he's not an idiot and he has a hell of a lot more riding on this than me so it comforts the pain a little bit.

Read (pronounced "reed" not "red") this thread - study it, pin it!!! The "true confessions" on this thread should put people ON NOTICE - people here are not as sharp as they make themselves out to be, and only now are they willing to come clean. For example, rak had me fooled for years! I understand that although he had retired, he's recently been spotted doing lawns in the Midwest. Spiro, well, he's so transparent, probably tired of doing the same old Greek money dance (but without results). His wife has no idea about him and Leona-Bay, so shhhhhh. Mannmade, he can fool you at first, but not for long, and then, well, you start to feel sorry for him, a truly tragic figure, I'm talking Sophoclean here! Bradleysbest? All I can say, if I were Bradley, and that was the best he could give me, I would run away from home (he's probably made people who have guns mad at him). JPG, so eloquent, but he's a doctor, so that totally disqualifies him from understanding the true nature of what we have here (perhaps a priest is what we need). He is also far too sophisticated and gentile to even be able to understand the likes of the short interest which have descended like a pestilence upon our investment.
Ashiwi, another doc, best thing he's done is charge usurious rates for loaning out stock (the local bunco squad will eventually catch up with him). I've already commented on the RN's - they have some nerve to even post on this thread - don't they understand the kind of mental fire-power they're up against here! And all three of them, after making goo-goo eyes at Al all during the Annual Meeting, well, no wonder Al can no longer focus! Then we get our Las Vegas tough-guy, JoeyPotsandPans to come on board, c'mon, everybody, this guy sounded knowledgeable right off the bat, right? Open your eyes, haven't you all noticed where this stock has gone since about the time he started posting here? Coincidence, I think not! The Lizard, well, once he shed his skin, I could see where he was coming from, more of a chameleon that any other kind of honorable Lizard.
I hope we can hear more tales of woe and true stories from the poorhouse before this thread is sent to the Smithsonian (or to an asylum for broken down biotech investors - we're talking therapy here!). Why didn't Liane or BD warn me I was throwing in with such a bunch of losers? I have to admit, I was taken in by the tales of vast profits on Green Mountain, nice going Liane, very effective story. The irony is, even if it's true, why am I listening intently to a darn glorified barista when it comes to a biotech stock? I really started to question whether Liane has a medical degree, but then I remembered JPG and Ashiwi, and I have absolutely no doubt that she does!
That's it, this board is an finely tuned instrument of manipulation! Can't you all see. It's sucks you in, slowly, cleverly... before you know it, you're agreeing with Spiro, you're actually thinking the shorts are in more and more trouble every time the stock drops to the next lower dollar level. I use to have trouble seeing that, I would even question him about it as the stock went down, but every time I talked to him, I came away understanding how the shorts are suffering now, and are so scared of the future, yes, I can see it now, I can!
And I haven't even bought a share in the $4's yet - what the heck is wrong with me, the low $5's were good enough? But there's always tomorrow and next week and the week after that. I think I may have to buy a gun and a mask and start knocking off liquor stores and 7-11's. Cuz I know I need to buy more, more, more (and maybe cover a margin call or two).
Okay, enough, all for fun, you know that, but on a slightly more serious note, I'm here to set my claim on being the most stupid of all, among other acts of uncommon stupidity, I sold January 2015 calls going into the FDA approval, with the thought that after approval the stock would retreat, and I would buy back (close out) those calls at a fraction of the price for which I sold them, making a potful of money that I could then use to buy either more shares or Jan 2016 calls. But I got caught up in the euphoria that attended the approval, and that glorious weekend where news of MNKD spread, even emanating from friggin Rockefeller Center on Friday evening, and I actually closed those calls on Monday morning (bought them back) for considerably MORE than I sold them for, making me a really stupid loser!! No patience, no faith in my own handicapping. Now, ladies and gentlemen, I submit to you - that is a FOOL!
The question for me remains, was I always so foolish (is it innate, is it congenital, was it nurtured into me), or did I just become so as a result of being a participant on this board. That answer may never be known, but, from this day forward, I shall often pose it to myself in time of calm reflection and inner searching.
