Given the day-before-conf-calls history, I wouldn't be buying today. But, if it dips tomorrow, that would be a great opportunity.

If i remember correctly the SP tends to go up prior to quarterly results then falls hard after. Seems like historically today is a good day to sell and tomorrow is a good day to buy. With my luck, I would follow history and it wouldn’t repeat itself this time. I don’t play for the pennies because you can be penny wise and pound foolish. I have been thinking the same thing. I have a ton of shares and I'd like to keep the gains for a change after earnings. It kills me to see it all evaporate after the earnings call.

You can bet that, tomorrow after the earnings call, somebody is hoping to buy your shares on the cheap.

We're going to try out an idea I had. I've pinned this thread, the intention being that it's a place we can "shoot the breeze" about MNKD without worrying that we haven't started an appropriate thread, or if we did start a thread, then "it wasn't really important enough to start a thread", etc. By having fewer new threads started, the ones focused on important topics will remain on the first page of the forum. On one hand this probably means I have too much time on my hands, but I like trying stuff and liane has so far been tolerant So, for the time being, this can be a thread to discuss "What's going on?" (It seemed that the "Volume" threads were sometimes being used for that, but I think it's a good idea to separate out all the TA discussion from more general discussion.)

(It seemed that the "Volume" threads were sometimes being used for that, but I think it's a good idea to separate out all the TA discussion from more general discussion.) Having monitored and posted on this forum for many years, it is my observation, and yours too, that people will make a comment which inspires a remark or observation that then takes on an off-topic aspect for awhile before returning to the channel. Occassionally, you or Liane or others will step in to steer the ship back on course. This is I think very human. It is the result of human discourse. Only for short periods of time will we stay focused on the topic at hand before there is a break away. I assume all of us have this experience in our personal and professional lives. The point I’m trying to make is that re-arranging the threads in an effort to focus conversation more (so that you can monitor/steer less?) is not going to stop what is going to happen whether I’m there to contribute to the wandering, or not. The fact that the Volume threads filled so fast because of both the on-topic and off-topic posts is a testimony to their popularity. I think you want that.

We're not planning to police other threads for that any more than we already do. But now, when something like that starts, you guys can self-monitor; someone can say, "Let's take this to the chat thread" or something. As I said, we're just trying this out. If it turns out things ain't broke, then we'll un-fix 'em.

Love the idea. I've been investing for 25+ years but really feel like a noob when i'm here. Most of my contributions are more "shoot the breeze / what's going on?!?" centric anyway. I think i'll pitch a tent here and just lurk on the other threads <blush> lol

Told you guys it smelled fishy. Probably retreat to under $4 before it tries to get over $6 by Aug. Nothing last with mnkd. Need to keep your mouth shut Mike, you're not helping with your fireside talks.

Oh c'mon, MNKD actually looked stronger today than a crapload of other stocks. If you're gonna lambast Mike, this probably wasn't the day to do it.
