Wait until your first bear MARKET! That's always a good teacher. Though better to have at a younger age so as to have years to make up losses from them So true The earlier the knowledge/lesson is gained, the more time it will have to benefit you There are two kinds of people in the stock market. Those who are humbled and those who will be humbled

LOL! I wish I was. I need to take my own medicine/advice and just shut off the damn computer.... Hey, at least I booked the loss in 2015 for taxes?? Lol. Really do apologize for my overreaction/fear. Twas dumb. I admit it. But, lesson learned. You are the one who preaches disciplined investing. I've got to admit that your post this morning shook me a bit as well. And I had just purchased several thousand additional shares! But as I have said repeatedly, I did what you did this morning in the hours immediately preceding ADCOM. AF was slinging s**t and I had never seen so much smoke without fire. So I can understand you fearing for any remnants of your investment. I think my takeaway for today is that the shorts understand that the slightest rumor can cause panic. What is going to happen when real news of something positive comes in? We are in for a short squeeze from which there will be no escaping. I hope you rebuy as soon as possible at these low levels. I apologize for that -- sincerely ... I was not around MNKD during the FDA disapproval or ADCOM, so I didn't have the experience to draw from. I did buy back today just about where I sold. I learned my lesson and you're absolutely right.

Spiro is out from under his desk. He is saddened to learn that many of his friends and long time posters have moved on. But everyone has to do what is best for their situation. Spiro believes that if the TASE deal is completed and MNKD receives around $90 million or so, that the shorts will not hang around much longer. They will not be willing to pay the high interest to continue to borrow. MNKD's share price will turn fast and hard as Afrezza sales pick up over the next year. Spiro here, he is stupid enough to believes what he writes. Spiro will either win or go down with the ship. Attachment Deleted

Now that you've back in on the back of this searing experience, remind your self that you've emotionally bonded a little more MNKD. Double down on your critical thinking. You've added some good stuff to this board.

That's not to say those who didn't sell today (me...but i've been considering reducing by 1/2) won't be learning a painful lesson in the upcoming days or months. On top of the painful lesson just holding and watching my value drop by 55%.
A very good lesson is, you dont have to make it back the way you lost it.
And i can absolutely understand bailing out. I haven't slept well in months

Spiro may regret the day that Afrezza took control of his diabetes. But what is good is wealth without good health? How good can life be, without good friends and family?
Spiro here, even if he loses all of his money, he will still have his family, his friends and his good health. Dang it, he sure would like the money also.

I didn't check in much with the forum today other than to check on the rumor du jour, I was busy rolling out and down various option contracts in multiple accounts. Also picked up some new shares and option positions in MNKD. Today felt to me like capitulation, but the truth is none of us know what will happen with MNKD. I think that each person needs to do whatever they feel comfortable with and can sleep nights with. Fortunately or unfortunately I'm pretty laid back about losses but would rather not make it a habit! I'm trying to position myself so that I can get through just about anything but bankruptcy without too much pain.

I just sold. This has been an extremely expensive lesson for me (-75k). Regardless of whether the technology is superior, the corrupt big money always seems to prevail. The reason I sold was that I just don't see a way forward for MNKD other than massive dilution and we still have the huge IF of when and whether scripts will ever significantly improve. I've truly enjoyed all the discussions/comments/feedbacks from this board over the last few years and wish everyone the best. But for now, I guess I'm back to index investing. I know this may end up being the worst time possible to sell, but holy cow I can't keep watching it drop like this every day. harryx, jpg, liane, aishwi, and spiro most of all. thanks and happy veteran's day. Xoxoxoxo - Wishing clear skies and calm waters ahead for you. Live long and do indeed, prosper. - The Q

That's only down $0.03 on the day! Man, that must have been a boring day on ProBoards. Glad (yawn) I didn't miss much. Zzzzzzzzzz...

Yeah, boring day on ProBoards - only a record number of members online (498) and 556 posts so far today ~ double our usual high water mark. I want to thank everyone for the quality and civility of the posts today. While the mods had to do a lot of reading, we didn't have to do a lot of moderating!

Glad I didn't look at the market today until an hour ago; saved a lot of aggravation. The after market reassurance has me feeling good.
