I just sold. This has been an extremely expensive lesson for me (-75k). Regardless of whether the technology is superior, the corrupt big money always seems to prevail. The reason I sold was that I just don't see a way forward for MNKD other than massive dilution and we still have the huge IF of when and whether scripts will ever significantly improve.
I've truly enjoyed all the discussions/comments/feedbacks from this board over the last few years and wish everyone the best. But for now, I guess I'm back to index investing. I know this may end up being the worst time possible to sell, but holy cow I can't keep watching it drop like this every day.
harryx, jpg, liane, aishwi, and spiro most of all. thanks and happy veteran's day.

Sorry to hear that, all the best to you. It's been a rough ride, there's no doubt about it. Yes the shorts have won with their lies, deceit and power. I haven't sold and will wait to hear from Matt. We've seen many false reports about companies in the last couple of months, however the news good very well be true. But the current climate seems to make it easy for those people to take advantage.

Sorry to see you go. I hope that you will have more peace of mind not having to be anxious about this on a day to day basis. Our investments should never rule our lives and it seems like this was the right decision for you.

All the best xo. It's getting to be that time for many of us. I'm staying for now to see what cards Dr Al is holding. Can't fathom he'd let this fade away.

If I wasn't tapped out I'd buy more. The current prices seem like bargains to me.

I sold as well. I'll still frequent this board as I completely believe in the company's drug and technology, and future -- However, the Globes is a reputable source in my opinion, and this news would be terrible. I want to hear from management, but I do fear that if they issue a statement, it's too late to salvage anything. If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, I will be back in. Cheers.

Again probably the right decision for you if you were agonizing over it, but I do point you back to your own post from yesterday. Don't let emotions rule your investing. This is a gut punch - an unverified one to try to shake loose some more shares. This is a classic case of how short sellers do in fact shake the convictions of even the most die hard believers. As much as we wish ourselves to be purely creatures of logic, we all succumb to our emotions when investing. Best of luck to you and I hope to see you around in the future.

This is classic FUD. Bad yes. Terminal, no. It was FUD like this that washed me out the day before ADCOM. This is now so low, most of us have lost a lot. Choices? One might as well hold waiting for final disposition of this issue. Or ? Buy more?

I remember the false report that was published minutes before closing on the day the FDA approved Afrezza. It was around June 27, 2014 if I recall correctly. The report "caused" the share price to drop over $2 in minutes. After hours, the share price climbed back into the green after it came out that the report was false.
Today's "news event" seem strikingly similar to me...
The interpretation of the Globe report was shaky at best, but the way I read the story, it appears that MNKD may have met the two conditions to proceed. There are (1) connections to Israel (note that they did NOT say it had to be an Israeli company) via Alfred Mann's $100M contribution to Israel's Technion Institute and (2) MannKind appears to have beat the November deadline date set by the exchange commission, after which they must hold off on any new IPO until the new decision related to the ETFs.
Perhaps the intent of this report was simply to shake more shares loose. After all, we've seen this happen before...
---
Regardless, good fortune to you.

Mannkind has such a huge target on it and so many wishing for it to fail that I wouldn't be surprised if this was planned. The finance community is rigged and filled with criminals that have Ivy League degrees that use their power to manipulate. GS is the king pin of doing this.

You're exactly right -- I got spooked. I trimmed my position and will watch. Like I said in my post yesterday, it's okay to wait and see -- you won't miss the boat. I'm not 100% out.
