Hi ! Back to business. Do they podcast MNKD's presentation at the JPM conference 11-14 Jan? I know it was in the PR but I can not find a link on the website (Yes, Matt is the webdesigner as well..) Is anyone attending this conference and can share some first-person experiences?

PR statement saying they are pulling out of conference is next shoe imo I sure hope not, but it is as likely as any other scenario.

kball exactly. They don't have anything to say so I see no reason for them to put themselves in a situation where they are going to be peppered by a ton of questions they just can't answer, or, worse yet - they get no questions at all. Hard to believe they would come out and simply say the same things they've been saying for the last two years. They might have a riot on their hands. Where's al's cash? all these problems take a vacation for a few years if al pumps 500 million into mnkd. Cash to a company is like oxygen to humans. No cash, no life.

PR statement saying they are pulling out of conference is next shoe imo Unless they have spectacular news (TS up-front money, 100M from Al) I HOPE they do pull out of the conference. They will get carved, sliced and diced by the analysts. Matt will be helpless and I don't blame him. There is no way out other than to sell out or get BIG cash right away. I don't see that happening.

Alethea, I agree with you wholeheartedly. If they don't have absolute freaking fantasmagorical news, they need to pull out. If he is announcing a 1. partnership wherein MNKD is being advanced hundreds of millions of dollars, 2. Technosphere deal wherein another company is paying MNKD tens of millions of dollars UPFRONT, 3. MNKD has sold Afrezza for hundreds of millions of dollars or 4. MNKD has sold out ENTIRELY to another company, we would be better off staying home. As was seen during the last Conference Call when Matt was shorted time, he is not so hot under even that kind of pressure. Of course, the pressure he will face on Wednesday will be nothing compared with any kind of pressure MNKD has faced in past from analysts. I shudder to think of how badly that will go if he gets up there and starts tap dancing!

With Matt as CEO & CFO - the end is near! He was all down hill the last few plurbs as CFO. Though compared to " hacking Hakan" he sounded really good, but then again we couldn't see or hear the swear dripping from his brow. They should check where the BOD has been meeting and deliberating because the way this company has been in a tailspin, I suspect the room is oxygen starved!
Keeping my fingers and eyes crossed that Matt doesn't trip over his tie on Wens.

At his age I am sure everything has to go through his personal finance team. Would you let him in invest 500 million if you were in charge of his money? This whole thing is a disaster and from start to finish these guys have been so out of their league.

@reverselo, I don't think he has free access to it either. That's if he even has that much available at this point. And if he did I have to believe that any financial team worth their salt would block him from sending any more of his fortune to mnkd's bottom line as he has done so much of that already. But it is the one somewhat realistic white knight savior scenario to raise significant amounts of cash quickly mostly because he's done it before and precedence is a powerful thing. I'm baffled by matts appointment not including the word "temporary".

I am just trying to figure out if I should sell my shares or not. I was hoping that I could sell on some short squeeze rips

Guys / Gals,
I certainly hope that Matt has at least 1 stitch of NEW (positive) news, otherwise I'd vote for MKNKD to pull out of the conference all together. Why would he want to open the floodgates?

It's January 11, 2016. You might as well see how the year trends out as this could turn on a dime. Go back to the WSJ statement last week where it said company was considering sale options. We all would love to see MannKind go it alone but we know they can't. They can't trust another partner unless its a big cash payment up front and that probably won't happen. So the only outcome is Sale of the company and Afrezza or a bankruptcy. In a bankruptcy we lose all and the secured and preferred creditors get everything. Look at Al's position. He is the largest common stock shareholder. Does he want to see that position wiped out? I would GUESS that he would rather sell and see Mannkind / Afrezza survive vs a bankruptcy that wipes that equity out for his Heirs/foundations. I know he also owns some preferred shares but not as many as he does common. the Company needs to be sold....

Give me 5 reasons why you shouldnt sell?

I got a firm confirmation that Mnkd wouldn't pull out of the Conf, Ray (CMO) will present TS Road Map. Matt will present Afrezza game plan, strategic options including future partners, marketing strategy, financial situation, business model, plan to extend runway. There are 2 presenters from Mnkd, suprised !!
Also heard TS partner for Pain mgmt, Migraine.......
Individual investors can post questions and get immediate answers. It gonna be an open forum, no holds barred, only time is the limiting factor. Please come prepare with written, electronic Qs so that you can cut and paste fast. Let's seize this opportunity to really grill mgmt. Don't complain if you are not prepared.
said Kent Kresa, Lead Director of MannKind Corporation. "He understands the strategic and financial challenges that we face at this very important time for our company and has already begun to pursue a number of solutions."
