We have the daily threads on volume and price.
And now, a lot of discussion about where the money is coming from, and why. And a lot of speculation. But clearly, something has been happening with the price, and it did not take the dive we sometimes see after the cc.
With all the discussion, it would be interesting to take a vote on the community sentiment.
What do you think is the underlying cause?

Another question to ask is, why have the likes of AF and others slowed down the hit-piece articles we all loved so much (sarcasm)

Bear trap. That would be a good poll option too. As would "Other". From what I can see, once the poll is created, you cannot edit it. Which is probably good for data measurement reasons - but often people come up with good ideas that were just missed! I suppose any sustainable rise at this point would still be considered a contrarian investment - and the Bears will either get trapped thinking they are setting a Bull trap, or are there already holding position (the short traders) thinking it will go back down on the 5th and they will exit out again lower - and they'll be wrong! |

Any other stock and this action primarily points to some type of news leak. This is MNKD so I throw speculation out the window and just take this action with a grain of salt until something comes across the wire.

FWIW, at least some of those people (LFD comes to mind) said they were going to stop covering / seriously reduce writing about MNKD, back when SNY announced it was terminating the deal. |

More than likely, but why? If it hasn't sunk in to most here, the shorts have been a few steps ahead of the longs on this one over the years. So, if it is short covering, what do they know now? |

The risk/reward profile has changed. Point man on the attack force is without sound intel. One could hear the stress in Olson's pleading voice (I'll paraphrase), "Dammit, tell me where you're getting the financing!!" Having no success with that question, he probes the other end of the balance sheet, "So, remind me, when is the loan due to SNY and for how much?" Knowledge is king and the discomfort of him being without it was very apparent, IMO.
I don't discount for a second there has been some leakage that points to a future overseas, or other, partnership. But, I think the bigger picture is the realization that the attempt to snuff this little company has failed. "Alternative" forms of unseen support have arrived. VDEX not only represents a "free" channel for Afrezza but the very best way for the story to be told. They can say what MNKD can not and proof will be provided via the hundreds of CGM's that will accompany new Rx's. Add the mystery that is RLS and the potential tailwind of $'s they could represent. The survival line continues with new COO and legal hire dots that all connect to, "We've lost this one." Rational next step = cover as orderly as possible
