To answer your question Yes Matt certainly froze his salary and took no increases in pay. I can tell you sitting around doing nothing will never get the results but working hard will certainly give you a better chance at achieving the results they want and shareholders want.

Nylefty im with you. There are some thick headed people that just want to wine. My god MNKD got screwed by Sanofi unexpectedly! And have changed over to a distribution and marketing company in record time with a low balance. Can we all just give management are support and backing and see if this can succeed this year. These people that lost a lot of money are not alone, I'm not going to explain my financial situation and wine but let me tell you I'm in deep very deep.. But I am convinced MNKD will succeed and these lows are temporary! Some say the stock price reflects managements performance, I say they are wrong.. Everyone knows how heavily this stock is shorted and the corruption of the non stop bashing on many news circuits . We know what we own the Afrezza users know how well it works, ignore these bashers hold on and prosper. Wine? (checking watch)... close enough to 5pm. My investment in MNKD has left me in a winy mood. To a better 2017, hopefully... Cheers!

That's confusing the issue. The stock price generally reflects the outlook of a company. Not always and not at every moment in time, but overall it's generally accurate as nobody wants to leave money on the table. With regards to mnkd post sny, well, that's an opinion. I disagree and so does the stock market, so do the script counts, so does the rev numbers, so does the staff reductions over the last year, so does the balance sheet. Not sure what metrics you are using to define success, but in every metric that an investor typically uses, mnkd has had a tough 2016 to say the least. You complain about bashers but imo the pumpers are just as suspect as bashers. Neither position offers a fair look at the company, their current situation, and future prospects. Critical thinking and evaluation, however, can provide those answers. Problem is, one has to accept the outcome of a critical thought process in order to reap the benefits. Otherwise, it's just pumping and bashing. Since recently I've been weighing in against the irrational exuberance crowd... I'll make this post in defense of MNKD. The balance sheet was improved greatly with the SNY settlement announced in Nov. Not sure about you, but that was more than I was expecting. It seemed a creative solution that maximized benefit to MNKD but structuring in friendly way for SNY. So I give management credit for a success with that one.

We have ZERO information of ANY previous bids for the company. That is not something they report on until they take an offer .....I am guessing there have been several low bids to buy MNKD ....but we will never know.

Thread should be locked just like the "Afrezza is on intentional life support" thread was. So far this is up to 6 pages of nonsense and most likely grow to 20. Proboards does not need to turn into a rumor board which completely disrupts good dialogue. Posters like Lakers, Mikesmiliatria and now Kuka (who is all over ST) in my opinion disrespect the other members who actually post material information and create good conversation based on that. This thread is absolutely no different than if I started a thread saying reasons I think MNKD will go bankrupt which I'm sure would get torched and then locked.

For the record I don't think AMGEN is going to buy MNKD. Or that anyone else is. I don't think they want to sell until they can get what we're worth. ( Or maybe not even then ) I think they feel like things are about to turn around. And they're going for it! A sale...Maybe two years down the road?

As it stands today Mannkind would probably fetch slightly more than it's market cap, maybe up to $500M on a good day. It is a company with large debts, minimal sales, and a negative P/E - none of those is a winning proposition. I cannot see another pharma touching it after the Sanofi failure and with the Exubera failure in the background as well - that's both Pfizer and Sanofi who have failed to sell inhaled insulin. Even if you think you are better at sales do you think you that much better? Most would probably say no and hence stay away from a sale. PE might be interested but only if they could get Mannkind at a fire sale price. Take it private? Possible but who given the headwinds. While I still remain firmly of the opinion that management is a long way out of their depth I think they are following the only possible route - to build sales with minimal spend. If that can be achieved then a sale may be possible. On the other hand if it is achieved would we want to sell?

And I would agree with some of this but IF Mannkind successfully markets and commercializes Afrezza along with other products nobody should want a buyout because this company will be the next gen Biotech company. The thread was started with a post that is so far from reality it should have been stopped right then and there.
