This smart inhaler is going to be equiped with numerous capabilities and applications. One of them I think is pretty cool is this little mountable accessory, like a jacket, that is a touch screen. Can't wait to see what the final device looks like. The inhaler provides real-time data. This will complement the real-time capabilities of CGMs nicely. MannKind has some exciting times ahead and 2018 could be their year. Passion, patience and persistence is key.

Just think about the future of diabetes care:
Your bloodsugar will be automatically monitored and added via a cgm into your one drop diabetes app you will then use a bluetooth inhaler filled with afrezza to take your insulin the inhaler will automatically add your dosage into the one drop app as well as when you took the dose and how your bs responded

This inhaler is quite interesting. When a few people have suggested another new drug might come along some day to compete with Afrezza, I've maintained that there's really no space for new drug improvement as Afrezza already mimics a healthy pancreas. The space that does exist for improvement is real-time, calibrated titration of the amount of Afrezza that's needed. It looks like this may be addressed by Mannkind and One Drop. If so, results will likely prove once and for all that Afrezza is a generation ahead of the other current drug options.
