And how much is this inhaler supposed to cost? Think we should stick with what we have ... this is way over kill. IMO There are many who have a whole lot of money, and many even with more than they can spend and want the best.

It might be covered by health insurance. This is not something that would be used by everyone, nor even needed by many. It would serve as tremendous value in clinical trials though, IMO.

The thing about our current inhaler is that it is disposable and costs pennies to make. We give it away free because it is so cheap.
Will the new inhaler also need a battery pack for the touch screen? It's like turning the inhaler into a Tesla.

Could see it being used in clinical trials too. Maybe some other stuff. Maybe.

A port will be used to charge the battery. Like a USB port.

And how much is this inhaler supposed to cost? Think we should stick with what we have ... this is way over kill. IMO SUMMARY [0001] states that the device is an accessory used in conjunction with the inhaler, which indicates to me both that it is not an inhaler but reusable devices that will be have models designed to fit the DreamBoat, Cricket or any other inhaler design that may eventually emerge from MannKind's development pipeline.

Then not too bad for those that like gadgets. Hope it works out for eliminating development costs. I'll just be patient and wait for insurance coverage to kick in.

Inhalation Profiling We believe in the simplicity offered by breath powered delivery systems and are committed to understanding the effort exerted by subjects during inhaler use. BLUHALE® is a wireless microphone-based technology adapted onto our dry powder delivery systems to characterize patient inhalation. Its small size and ease of use are ideal for capturing patient inhalation profiles and can be employed with or without dose administration. The interactive user interface feature is a training tool and also probes the effects of varied inhalation efforts. www.mannkindcorp.com/research-development/tech-platforms/inhalation-profiling/

Seems complex and complicated, kind of a pain to have to learn. But compared to using a needle, definitely worth the trouble. Needles ain’t cool.
