Questions: 1) Mannkind presents at 7:45 am EDT in US? 2) Is this going to be a rehash of the presentation at the recent Oppenheimer conference? 3) At a conference like this, do they ever make material announcements?

I don't think it impossible that there could be a material announcement, but I would say it is quite unlikely. Material events have to be announced as they occur. Timing a material event to announce at an already scheduled meeting is something that would be difficult to do and there would be no reason for it. I suspect mostly a rehash, though I think the recent dilution should be addressed in some way. I don't know how I would handle that if I were in Mike's shoes, but that's why we pay him the big bucks and not me.

The highly anticipated international deal might potentially be announced in the second week of May (ER week 5/7-10), before ASM 5/16 to quell SH revolt. Mnkd is in quiet period unless there is some material event. I wouldn’t rule out 4/9 either. Hope Mnkd gets $50M upfront minus HCW advisor fee. Who else? The play book also suggests HCW may reiterate Buy on Mnkd with new price target.
The easiest way to justify the needs for recent dilution would be providing more leverage for Mnkd to hammer out the deal details - assuring potential partners that Mnkd is determined to stay solvent at any cost. That’s what 140M shrs are partially for.

They really didn't have a choice.

Its 5 AM April 9th in monaco, right now. presentation is in about 9 hours It was quite confusing. This -- investors.mannkindcorp.com/events-presentations -- said the presentation is "04/09/18 1:45 PM CDT" and I presume CDT means central daylight time. This, on the other hand -- finance.yahoo.com/news/mannkind-announces-participation-h-c-120000127.html -- says it is at "1:45 PM (CET) on April 9, 2018" where I presume CET means Central European Time. However, according, to timebuddy.com, 1:45 pm April 9 central european time is 7:45 am April 8 eastern daylight time, so that would mean it's already over. On the final hand, the Wainright site -- www.wsw.com/webcast/hcw2/mnkd/index.aspx -- says "H.C. Wainwright Global Life Sciences Conference Monte Carlo, Monaco April 9, 2018 1:45 p.m" and said "This presentation will begin in 8 hours 46 minutes." That would indeed put it at 7:45 am tomorrow. Whoever handles Mannkind's press releases and/or "events and presentations" page needs to find a new job.

IMO There won't be any news that would increase the pps otherwise this latest offering would have been the worst timed mistake ever. Handling the recent offering won't be difficult at all since Mike did exactly what he said he was going to do and used 14M of the 140M as needed...and everyone knew it was needed. He'll probably just restate the financial situation and the Oppenheimer slides.

It is still very early morning (5:40 am) of April 9 in Europe right now. It won't hit 1:45 pm there for several more hours. You are right about the Mannkind site confusing CDT with CET. About par for the course, though.

Central European Time (CET) is 6 hours ahead of Central standard time (CST). Central European Summer Time (CEST) is 6 hours ahead of Central Daytime Time (CDT). When Castagna presents today at 1:45pm in Monaco it will be 6:45am in Minneapolis and I'll be at my office listening to the webcast. I'm thinking that Mike will be speaking a bit about global markets, TreT other drug candidates MannKind has in its pipeline and will be available for one-to-one presentations as well.

I just registered for the webcast and the slide deck is available for viewing. The emphasis is on global markets, as I had hoped.
The presentation also states that MannKind plans to "articulate earlier use" for Afrezza, which I had mentioned in another post about a week ago and for which Dr. Kendall's connections to the diabetes industry will be a huge factor.
