I guess the shorts figured it out. No news forthcoming anytime soon to invalidate the bear thesis. Looks like we are going for another ride on the down elevator.

I came away from the CC not feeling real good or real bad about the call.
From a positive standpoint 1. Sanofi and Mnkd have a decent business relationship and the two sides seem to be on the same page. Each partner seems to be doing what they are supposed to be doing towards the product launch and other regulatory matters. 2. Mnkd is producing saleable product. 3. Launch in first quarter 2015 4. Several other Technosphere opportunities are being studied and investigated. Nothing that can be reported at this time.
From a negative standpoint: 1. No positive EPS for a couple of years. (If no earnings, no big cash flow to Mnkd) 2. No information at all regarding sales forecasts or sales expectations. We are left to our imagination. 3. No Technosphere info that we can drool about. 4. Al Mann sounded like they put him out to pasture. He really didn't offer much to the CC, his reading material was monotonous and boring. 5. I dialed in and tried to ask a question. I guess I wasn't on managements preferred questioner list and wasn't called upon to ask a question. I was planning to discuss this whole short interest situation and the naking shorting but they didn't call on me.
So I kind a came away thinking, its gonna be a field day for the shorts tomorrow. But what do I know. The SP was up today.

For those interested in stepping in and buying some SNY, there looks to be quite a bit of long term support (long term trendline, prior resistance, 200 week Moving average) around $42.50.

Maybe a good time to looking at picking up some SNY. That way have some exposure to both sides of the Afrezza partnership and the future GLP-1.

Any chance this is a Sanofi/GS endeavor?

Since the Board represents so many shares, it would be smart if we posed some questions to Management on the next conference call which is scheduled in a week or two. Someone from the Board should present the one or two of the most important questions that are reached by Board consensus. I suggest the Board Administrators make a determine who will present our questions.
Here is my suggestion for a question to management:
Does the Company have any information, plan or strategy regarding the huge short interest position and does the Company have any information regarding alleged naked shorting of the Mannkind's stock including the many failure to deliver conditions that have existed over the past several months? Has Mannkind contacted or been contacted by the SEC regarding this?

Anyone know how many shares are available to borrow? I read on stocktwits that it was less than 3,000. If so, someone turned off the spigot.

Wondering if Big Al called the market makers and said the short game is over - he's no longer lending out his shares. LOL

Al Mann is the keynote speaker. Still alive and well.

Uptrend line going back to Nov. 2012 comes in at about $4.95. Maybe we'll find some support in here. 200 Week moving average comes in at $4.43. Uptrend line going back to May 2012 comes in at $3.75

There is some weak support at $5.00. Maybe a coincidence but the 200 week moving average is at $4.44.

It's really up to Al Mann and/or Mannkind to take action to increase the share price. Considering Big Al owns approx 150mm shares, he can't be too happy that the value of his holdings have gone down nearly $750mm in value. Maybe if he bought a million shares, it would give confidence to the longs. In the mean time, if you truly believe in the company and its technology, you add to your positions at these depressed prices. For if Afrezza and the Technosphere technology is what we all believe it is, we will be well rewarded within the next year or two. For those of you on this board looking for significant short term price increases within the next few months, I think you will be disappointed, for the Bears are in control and will be until there is a change in investor sentiment.
