The WHO is estimating 18 mos before a vaccine. I did hear from two different sources yesterday - though I’ve yet to read about it anywhere - that China has medication now available to some degree to help those who have contracted the virus. GILD has a vaccine that is currently being used by approximately 1000 patients in China. GILD is trading at just below $70.00/ share. Lost a couple dollars on Friday. NVAX is up to around $16/share from below $10/ share on Thursday. Its impossible to determine which company will have the quickest and greatest success at this point, but the upside can be strong! I went back and read it for the second time, and I believe it’s the most transparent they have ever been about their funding and efforts to get this drug to the masses. I would love to hear from Matt Pfeffer directly, pertaining to all of this! He was not only a long term employee of Alfred Mann, he was a friend of Alfred Mann and Matt was trusted by Alfred Mann. As we know, Alfred Mann was no dummy! That said, I would trust what Matt has to say about Mike C. That would lend credibility (or not) to what Bill is claiming. Does anyone have any contact with Matt Pfeffer? FWIW, I am leaning toward believing Bill for several reasons, but Matt P can take away any and all doubt to this situation. |

I like it.. honestly anything was better then their insulin outsulin characters. That was bad and most people didn't get it IMO. This however is really good. Don’t forget the Damon Dash fiasco either, along with the very lame term “Diabadass” It was clear to me at that point that MNKD management had NO clue as to how to market Afrezza effectively! |

Mike Castagna has only been CEO two plus years. In a brief time, he's turned around the finances, the pipeline and now has Afrezza growing. The future under his leadership looks very bright. Is it true that management of struggling Vdex has been in place and on the job longer than MC has as CEO? Maybe it is Vdex that needs the management change.  It’s my understanding that Vdex was poised to open several locations after approval but as we all know, the launch did not go as most expected...(Sanofi etc) That derailed most every plan of solid marketing of Afrezza. I am in very deep as I made my initial investment before the first CRL. But still believe in the potential of Afrezza! GLTA True Longs! |

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the last conference held by Piper Jaffray followed by a secondary offering a few months later? It seems the focus of this conference is to attract potential investors. And why do they need investors? For dilution? From my recollection the price was pumped up prior to the last couple offerings. Warrants expire, price gets pumped to $10 for an offering and I execute my calls for a Happy New Year. Looks like a win, win to me. As much as I would love to see that be the case, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that one. GLTA True Longs |

T1 is a disqualification for military service, pretty sure T2 is as well. Not sure why they'd be using Afrezza. Many people, some that are veterans (some retired) develop Diabetes as they age. That said, Afrezza can come into play for the military. GLTA Longs! |

I already said venture capital firms have no interest in public companies that are in financial distress with a product that has been on the market for 5 years. Venture capital firms are looking for potential unicorn private companies (over $1B valuation) that can have huge IPOs, so the next Uber, AirBnB, or even Moderna. Time will tell... |

Sorry that reality isn't all roses, but hey, keep living in your fantasy world... VCs aren't touching MannKind. As a nearly 10 year long, well into six figure losses (on paper) with my investment in MNKD, I am more than familiar with reality, as well as lack of roses! So I must ask... How do YOU know for a fact that Westlake Village has no interest in any way shape or form in Afrezza or in MNKD? Please enlighten us with your clairvoyant wisdom. |

I, like many here, thought that 5:1 RS was not enough. And, it's looking like that is the case. Anyway, I thought it should have been a 10:1 RS way back then. If we’re going to take a ride on the hindsight train, The mistakes happened long before the reverse split! Go back several years ago when the stock was around $10 pps. and begin the count of blunders and oversights. My 8 plus years of my initial investment in this company has been painful! I realize that I am not alone! Still hanging around because Afrezza is That Good!! Not giving up yet! GLTA! |

Afrezza is monomeric human insulin. It is stabilized in that form by the Technosphere matrix. As such, it doesn't need zinc and meta-cresol to stabilize and preserve. These are two very different beasts even though both are derived from the human insulin protein. Well, they might be two very different beasts, but I even checked the afrezza website and could find no mention of monomeric, so I would presume that Mannkind isn't pushing the point. If Alfred Mann were still alive, Mannkind would certainly be pushing the point! If I’m not mistaken, being monomeric is the reason that Afrezza is so fast acting. (Pretty important point imo) I certainly hope that there is something good from management on the horizon. Tired of management giving themselves raises and pps barely over a buck! In deep! I think Mike’s got nothing, and half the people think he’s got something, in my opinion the sooner we figure out he’s got nothing the sooner we can figure out what we want to do about it. How many times has he gotten three more months.. how many times has he told people this company is going to look completely different in the next three months! Heard that one before ? ...probably because several people told me he said it to them, he didn’t say it to me. ( Full disclosure ) I pray I’m wrong, I need to be wrong, I can’t stand that the stock is stuck in the mud! So if Mike’s got something God bless him😎 To address the question posed at the top of this thread... Answered quite simply... PROFIT!
PROFIT is what has been missing in the mnkd story!! No news there!! I hope Mike does finally have something that will shift this into overdrive! Way overdue given what Afrezza has the potential to do! |

Hey, mobile advertising works and is very inexpensive! Hopefully, Mannkind is entertaining this option. Anything to get the word out about Afrezza! I’ve got a few cool cars that I would be willing to put an Afrezza advertising wrap on for the right price. I’m sure that others would be willing to do the same. Just throwing it out there! I am guessing. I bet it saids Mannkind. If it said Afrezza it would need the black box warning. like the INDY car. You may be right. The logistics would certainly need to be worked out. The picture on the back of that truck is blurred so I cannot see exactly what it says. The inhaler was prominent, and if enough of those started popping up, it would probably start a dialogue. Just a thought! Several years after FDA approval and still many PWD and doctors haven’t even heard of Afrezza! That said, something’s got to shift! GLTA MNKD LONGS! |
