Simply time to buy more. What does it matter if you get it at $1.76 or $1.74? the complaints out there are that folks have averaged down so many times, they have no money left. Look at the 5 day chart, look at the 6 month chart. It strongly appears that the shorts will drive this down much farther. Complaints to SEC don't matter, or very little. Management has acknowledge manipulation, had a "conversation" with SEC, hundreds or thousands of complains to SEC from retail holders. So, what is happening with the price? This is not tax loss selling. Sorry, it's a very linear slope for 6 months....

seanismorris I have to agree, that's where I sit right now. I'm holding but down over 60%! and don't actually see a clear path to success... which begs the question why am I even still holding(?) - I don't really know. When I made my last buy and settled my average at $5.03 I was absolutely convinced we could not go below $2.50 and my maximum downside was 50% (and only for a "short" time). I don't see why anyone would still be accumulating based on the current trajectory. The art of using the phrase "begs the question" correctly has long-since died. Sort of like about 40 years ago, when "I couldn't care less" became "I could care less." No, haven't lost my mind, although if I did, I likely wouldn't notice. Just cruising a couple of topics, and it's pretty depressing. A lot of the short side is represented here these days. The correct use of the term "short side" has apparently died along with it. What is "short-sided" about facing the reality which is $1.83? I'm assuming if your definition of "short side" holds true, "long-sided" could correctly be interchangeable with "delusional-sided".

Actually that string of posts from Nate Pile makes me nervous. One of the strongest advocates of MNKD is now raising possibility that MNKD will walk from SNY as potentially positive, throwing forth Google connection and making the unsubstantiated claim that tangible insurance improvement has been seen... seems like he is merely posting every hope based long argument from YMB.

I think he's grasping at straws which also makes me nervous, and his infallibility is definitely up for question which i'm sure makes him VERY nervous... but unfortunately he may be right and it may be realistic to think that MNKD walking away from SNY (or better yet SNY walking away from MNKD) is not just the right thing for MNKD but the ONLY thing that will allow MNKD and Afrezza any shot at success [if you believe in the sandbagging hypothesis - which I think is becoming pretty self-evident].

What we have here is hundreds, even a thousand, retail holders, completely left in the dark (or as the Germans say on their board, left in the rain) by mgmt, a very captive audience watching their accounts dwindle in value in a very programmed kind of way. Sadly, I have seen this before, more than once. What happens is that when the shorts are in control, they can steer the price down over a long period of time, shorting, then buying, then selling, then shorting--- they are milking this stock for multiples of the current market cap. How are all of our lenders doing? Still "averaging down" with all that interest?

jeremg... I'm not a believer in the sandbag scenario. If it were true, SNY wouldn't do the walking away... and MNKD has not put themselves in a very good position to justify MNKD walking away. Unless there were some smoking gun communication/email to point at that demonstrates SNY was working against Afrezza, I think it would be hard to make the case. Other potential partners would probably be hesitant to jump into a potential nasty legal battle.

If MNKD walks away from SNY or SNY walks away from MNKD we are toast, WS would rip this company a part. Unless MNKD caught wind of a giant conspiracy SNY is partaking in against them lets just let this play out. I feel like there will be a string of positive moves coming up to further the relationship. I have no idea what is going on but no doubt frustrating.

I have never even considered before that MNKD might walk away from SNY, but right now MNKD doesn't have that much to sell, just 1/3 of Afrezza and the technosphere platform, which they have thus far transformed from an embarrassment of riches into an embarrasment. If they could sell 100% percent of Afrezza, someone might be more interested.

Why is it that this topic, started by a brand new "newbie" with thousands upon thousands of shares signs on without any previous posts and asks what do to with his shares, followed by similar comments of other brand new "newbies" lamenting their situation? I always become suspicious. Are these folk trolls? Are they other previous posters in a new guise? Are they old FUDsters in a new guise? These are the things that leave me "very confused". Mannkind will recover after tax sales. There was actually only a single 'newbie' among the many people here who responded.

mssciguy... for what it is worth, shares have been returned to lenders recently, and interest rates are way down... so I don't think it credible to say loaned shares going into market had to do with price movement this past week. Obviously in the supply-demand equation the supply has been coming from somewhere else this past week. In hindsight I would have been much better off to have simply sold back in first half of the year when I got them into the lending program... so indeed there has been downside that more than ate up what I've received in interest. Though having held them, I've recouped a small chunk of my losses through the interest.

Wall Street has already ripped this apart, it's cost tens of millions in terms of ability to raise more funds. We are witnesses at a crime scene and our money may be recovered, but only if the criminals get what they want some other way. Is that it? Trying to be warm and fuzzy and positive here (although that may do more harm than good in the long run... Carl Icahn or equivalent is probably licking his lips and watching)... "What's for breakfast, how about Mannkind" crunch crunch crunch lol ... seriously, this stuff happens all the time.

Nate does not think SNY is walking! Read who he was talking to and the other side of the conversation. He says, strong buy under 4! In fact I'm sure he will post the news letter soon and where he is coming from will be more clear.
