I had to create a thread for this topic because I'm not sure anyone else feels the same way as I do? Many Longs on the MMB @proboards all have valid points & legit hopium however the share price still sinks 5-7% per day with no explanations. Not sure what scares me more: Al too old for this sh*t Mann not having a Plan B (3rd party or multiple outside interests) or Sanofi liquidating MNKD between $3-5 PPS as the only sole company bid?

Does anyone live near the Danbury facility? It would be nice to know whether staff are working hard, or hardly working. 9am to 5pm, or 5am to 9pm ? The hours worked would speak volumes. In retrospect, I could have saved a lot of money by flying there, and doing drive by surveillance. I seriously hope it's not some kind of retail shareholder subsidized country club. It happens. Lesson learned...... money lost (well not exactly, not yet).

You have to be kidding. What response are you expecting the company to put out? Are they going to publish a paper on their strategic plan? Are they going to tell us which companies they are negotiating with for TS? Of course not. They are not going to say anything because they should not do so. You will know what is happening when there is a material development to announce. That may be months before it happens next.

You are not alone. I have been upset about the silent treatment for quite a while now. In my humble opinion, short of the deal of the century coming soon to a theater near you, nothing, I repeat, nothing justifies the behavior and treatment Mannkind is having toward it's own retail shareholders. We might be little fish, but that does not mean the company has not benefited from our support; therefore, this way of doing things is simply unacceptable.

I witnessed one company melt down completely last year, they had "analyst days" with expense paid trips to the facility and all kinds of cool promo videos, sexy as hell, but it's operations are completely mothballed now, it was very sad, unplanned but subject to commodity price swings. I seriously doubt that Afrezza is in the "commodity" class, it's more of a first in class, only in class, prandial. Not just for needle phobics (or as the German conspiracy theorists think, intended by SNY for children's use only). Off topic---- for a quick laugh, what do you think Trump would be saying about Sanofi (please don't post any obscenities) Jury is still out.

trondisc I think your third "scare" is not even realistic at this point "Sanofi liquidating MNKD between $3-5 PPS as the only sole company bid" - this sounds more like a dream I may have tonight than a nightmare. What "scares" me the most is the very real possibility that ANYTHING is too little, too late at this point and MNKD has already crossed into the event horizon where there is no turning back. I mean let's think about this realistically right now: I think the secondary is a foregone conclusion which means MAXIMUM dilution is already built in to my current sentiment (which is NOT GOOD) so let me go through what positives could possibly take place BEFORE this foregone secondary, best case scenario for us shareholders now in the short term is simply PPS as high as possible for Secondary in order to minimize dilutive value from MAXIMUM to [not-so]MAXIMUM(?) 1) SNY announces their unwavering commitment to Afrezza and MNKD tomorrow - does this make a difference considering what their actions have been thus far and if they ARE sandbagging would this not be a prudent move before they just continue on with doing what they are currently doing [passively neglecting Afrezza] 2) MNKD does the impossible and announces a Tech partnership with significant upfront cash - is this even possible considering our precarious position, the optics that Afrezza and Tech [guilty by association] is a failed product/platform, and lastly but most damning - Al has ZERO leverage to negotiate. 3) Al takes MNKD private - the price is right and Al could finance this deal with any of the current "guilty" financial institutions who would probably be salivating at the idea of a double or triple win 4) Al auctions off the company and Afrezza - what would this be worth? [Once again, Al has ZERO leverage and you CANNOT negotiate while hanging off the side of a cliff by a few fingers] So where are we? I think 2 & 4 are equally unlikely, 3 is most likely, and 1 could be a good thing or another red herring [for Kastanes & Co.] we wouldn't know until positive action on SNY part... In conclusion - barring Al taking private - the next move is a desperate secondary with dilution like the world has never seen before... and no end in sight to the precipitously falling PPS. So what happens after the secondary and dilution once we have at least a year of survival left? At that point at least the PPS will actually* no longer matter for a while longer [win for the "faith" and "hope" crowd] but Afrezza will still need to start moving off the shelves and MNKD will need to finally start making moves! The wildcard - what are SNY's true intentions?!

Management either hates retail longs and we are in serious trouble going forward or there is something in the works. What other explanation could there be?

One thing, ABOVE ALL, is certain today, and that's that this company has been around over a decade and a week or a month of manipulation won't kill it.... Check this out, I did a search, on google, "mnkd dark pool" - this is from a couple years ago but seems to indicate that very, very dark (as in not visible) forces are at work during wild price springs, and the volume is clearly mostly a-hem bull droppings www.nanex.net/aqck2/4319.html(Off topic): I hope that Bernie Sander's agenda regarding Wall Street finds a way to be implemented.

There are only 2 thoughts that really scare me at the moment: 1) Sanofi is not committed - I think they are 2) MNKD did not raise additional capital during the TASE listing - I think they did; 13M shares were sold directly to the indexes, and another 20M or so went out the back door to fulfill the expected take up.
That would represent about a year's worth of ongoing operations and future developments will be allowed to emerge and stabilize the company's valuation before additional capital is needed.

Why in the world would they not immediately announce this and shut down the BK rumors if this were the case...? I don't think this is the case as it would make no sense considering the fact that we are sitting here at new 52wk lows as investors and WS are still unsure as to whether MNKD will even be around come 2Q16.

I'm not sure I have an answer. I can't decide myself whether this would actually help or just feed the beast further. What reputable company puts out a statement on cash mid quarter? What we saw during that event was that the price locked onto 2.64 or whatever the number was, while something like 40M shares exchanged hands. If my plan were to sell 'up to 50M shares at X' directly to the indexes and they took 13M, then of course I would push a large percentage of the reminder out the back door that very moment. Nothing else makes sense, and the trading metrics for the day seem to support it. If they did not, then Matt and the board should be let go immediately unless there is yet another card to be revealed.
