when it gets AFREZZA back; announce an application for EU or other countries drug approval, announce a partnership, announce celebrity endorsements of AFREZZA, place an ad, anything? In the last conference call Matt said: As everyone knows, we get rights to Afrezza back on April 5 or shortly thereafter. There will follow a flurry of activity in the weeks that follow and the ADA meeting in June in particular will be an important meeting for MannKind and Afrezza. We've submitted four abstracts and all four were accepted. One of those abstracts was selected for a moderated poster discussion.I suspect it will be "shortly thereafter."

There could be a run up to 4/5 then another drop off after MNKD announces what, if any, pay off they got from SFY.
I don't expect too many fireworks on 4/6 though. Who knows, maybe a cc a week afterwards so Matt can let the investors know he is aware that we are still here...

We've already been advised that there is much more to finish with Sny post 4/5. I suppose the legal agreement though announced on 4/5 would open the door for more deals, etc. But we know there are a lot more details to transition that go way beyond Apr 5.
One question I ponder is has the current pps stoked the anticipation of a massive announcement or is it commensurate with technicals plus reasonable anticipation of future events. Ironically or by design, the DCC are also now pushed into that 4/5 timeframe. Just like old times, another week, another week, another week. But somehow this one feels far different (says the insane person speaking to Einstein).

Technically, they can't start negotiations with prospective partners until they get the rights to Afrezza back (although I would hope that some informal negotiations have begun). I don't think we will see anything there for a little while. I think that the June timeframe, coinciding with ADA, will be when we start seeing things.

If MNKD can't afford a $250,000 application fee, what makes you think they can afford to market AFREZZA?

Looks like they will run through the $60 million they have by Sept. They don't have a whole lot of wiggle room.

If MannKind Corporation gets the NDA back on April 5, they'll immediately issue a press release that they have received the DNA, then likely schedule a conference call to take place within a few weeks of receipt.
I would be surprised if they announced much more than that on the day they regain control of Afrezza. They might drop a few hints in the PR about engaging in negotiations, but that would be about all the information they would publish until the conference call. My reason for thinking this way is simply because I think that MannKind will take great care to not jump the gun and violate any stipulations within the Sanofi L&C Agreement.
Unless Sanofi has already submitted its permission IN WRITING for MannKind to begin negotiations with other potential distributors, CEO Pfeffer must wait. I'm certain that informal discussions are fine but I think that even drafting any Agreement(s) would have to wait until he secures the NDA for Afrezza.
As far as foreign applications, cash shouldn't be an issue, since I would think that MannKind's partner(s) will handle that part. I expect Pfeffer and the BoD to set up straight royalty agreement(s) where the pharmaceutical distributor pays all expenses related to regulatory, marketing and sales in their region(s) outside the U.S.

Maybe Matt can tell us on April 5th who RLS IS? He could tell us any day RLS agreed to. Nothing magic about April 5th. I thought it would be fun on that day as a way of sticking it to Sanofi. And we will not know who RLS is until after April 5th.

It's RLS's decision, not MannKind's. April 5th is the day that MannKind may regain control of Afrezza, but RLS has nothing to do with Afrezza and could reveal more information about itself tomorrow or months from now. The agreement with RLS involves Technosphere, not Afrezza. So we could know "who RLS is" whenever RLS wants us to know, whether it's before or long after April 5th.

Lefty, you talk like you are on the RLS board. You sound like this is a fact! No one knows who RLS is! No one knows why they are not disclosing who they are! We have no news we are all speculating! IMHO I believe Matt and MannKind don't want sanofi to know who RLS is! Answer me this, " why would MannKind care if the investors knew"? I think it's more logical to believe they are keeping it from sanofi. And if I were Matt I would stick it up there ass and announce it April 5th!
