Obviously it's a sore spot with him as he has went through the trouble of deleting all my truthful and factual posts. What a hoot this tool is, writes what he wants but can't take the heat in the kitchen when the temperature rises. Knew it when I had my first interaction with him, I inquired why he was writing what amounted at the time to roughly a ratio of about 15/1 articles on one company, he got so defensive in his response it seemed rather odd to me at the time...
Kastanes, he is equivalent to the one sided "news" stations (left and right) that run 24/7 a year later after an election that they can't seem to get over. Instead, they alienate the masses with their daily drivel while more important things are happening globally on a daily basis. I call it selective journalism, censorship at its blatant extreme, no worries, it's good to know he reads the proboards or what he terms the echo chamber. When he mentioned that term (echo chamber) I asked him if he had realized what the membership was and the average number of viewers on a daily 24 hr. basis. He then went on with one of his sarcastic rants, I have zero respect for the individual as he has no backbone IMO...keep running from confrontation Spence, it doesn't look good when you write about a company whilst owning another that inherently causes a conflict of interest. The reason Nate and Kovacocy wouldn't come on SA to confront you directly is because you would have their comments deleted in a heartbeat if you couldn't defend and own up to something. Very weak indeed. Your welcome to respond here, your comments won't get deleted here as different points of view are welcomed here in a respectful manner, TG.

joeypotsandpans I am not sure if this makes a difference but MannKind is applying Technosphere to an approved PAH drug ; Arena is developing a new PAH medication. Kastanes, makes no difference, if they are both working on a treatment for the disease it makes them competitive with one another, in fact, the indication was that the FDA gave a surprisingly positive response according to what was stated in the conference call by MNKD. Either way, the point of the discussion and inquiry to Osborne is that if he is long an equity that is currently in trials for a drug to treat PAH and knowing that is the next application that MNKD said they plan on making, would it be ethical to disclose same rather than avoiding the question of an inherent possible bias? Instead he continues to run from the topic by having my comments which raise that very question deleted. Why not have a professional approach and address it, instead he mentioned it is ridiculous in generality and instead accused me of stalking and blackmailing him lol...sorry but every time I think of that comment it makes me laugh. He claims it is "distracting" and "off topic" but it is absolutely pertinent when he states he has no conflict of interest with regard to MNKD. He claims it is insinuating bad faith on his part, yet, he makes much bigger insinuations regarding Mike C's motives and actions, you can't have it both ways, make sense to you now?

I posted the following today and of course it was deleted, it doesn't allege or insinuate anything other than asking the author some black and white questions regarding his comment about swearing he has no conflict of interest. This is an easy softball toss for anyone that wants to directly address this question to him. Unless he has unloaded his position in ARNA which he has not stated he has rather just avoids the issue by hitting whatever button it is that autobots the deletion. For those of you that don't think it is important think again, he is writing articles with regularity claiming there is no conflict of interest, these articles are picked up on the news feed under MNKD's ticker symbol. He needs to address the issue rather than run from it and cry that he is being stalked or black mailed lol....anyone with a linkedin acct. should forward to Kovacocy to call him out on it. This is pretty much the only social media platform that I am a member of regarding MNKD. I will not use my business platforms and mix with personal use.
Posted earlier in response to Osborne's comment regarding disclosure and conflict of interest:
Can you disclose whether you are long any stocks which are in trials with a potentially competing drug in trials that MNKD has disclosed is their next technosphere application regarding pulmonary arterial hypertension? Do you believe it is in the best interest of your readers to know that fact and you should disclose same? This is in direct response to your comment regarding disclosures above, TIA.

I wrote the following which Spencer had deleted asking if he would do the same wager he proposed to MK regarding his conflict of interest in owning ARNA and writing with a non bias regarding MNKD. In SA's dispute policy they actually state: If the dispute is beyond the scope of our team to research, we will confer with the author to decide on next steps. At all times, the disputant is free to voice his dispute in the article's comments, here is what I posted in regards to Spencer's attempt to say he does not have any conflict of interest with regard to disclosure:
Are you still currently long ARNA? Is ARNA in trials on a treatment for PAH? Has MNKD disclosed both publicly and through exhibits that their next application targets PAH and that they have held talks/discussioins with the FDA regarding same? If in fact this is the case, regardless of your opinion, can the question of conflict of interest be brought up regarding authoring articles on a company that is potentially going to compete with a company whose equity you own? These are legitimate questions and talking points. You have stated that you do not believe that there is a conflict of interest, others may logically disagree based on the very nature that there definitely could be.Would you wager similarly with what you suggested to Kovacocy that if you asked attorneys if it could be argued that there is logically that potential that you would get varying degrees of affirmation. The very distinct possibility that a conflict of interest could come into question, and has, based on same in and of itself could raise doubts about the motivation of your articles. Other than you claiming it's sensationalism is there anything I just wrote that can be denied? To the SA moderators, this is in direct response to the authors comment above and very much on subject in response to that comment as it definitely could bring motive into question.
Perhaps one of you who have a twitter account and/or facebook account (I have neither) may want to send to MK and have him call Spencer out on it, there is a blatant conflict of interest in writing about a company that is planning on it's next product which will potentially compete directly with a product in a company of which he owns. In the meantime I will contact the editors of SA to have them question him about the facts regarding same. TIA

The timing of dilution will be exquisitely essential. If it doesn't follow a major uptick in share price, the company may very well be in a position from which it will never be able to recover. Considering that no major anticipated news to drive share price higher between now and mid 2018, there is certainly concern for longs. As another has said about today's share price fluctuation, I think the shorts are calling Mike C's bluff and don't think he's holding a very strong hand at this moment in time. I'm still confused as to why MNKD management and BOD thought it was a good idea to authorize shares without an apparent plan to prop up the share price. You can't see much if you look right in front of where you are; I'm glad management has a longer-term horizon than retail investors. This is a long, slow slough, not an overnight gold mine. Things will continue to play out over time, like they have for years. Progress may be slow, but progress it is, and momentum continues to slowly build. If you know the story of the three little pigs, I'd rather have a brick house that takes longer to build than a straw house that goes up fast and makes investors happy. kind of like the recent equity IPO's with the term blockchain in their names or offerings, pretty scary stuff what is taking place right now circa 2000 with the dot coms, very reminiscent...I asked my kids about ROKU today seeing that it continues to move higher since the IPO valuation....they're as up to date with all the NFLX/HULU/AMZN interrelationships as typical millennials would be, they couldn't believe what was going on with ROKU so that would give me pause in and of itself, not saying there isn't a valid reason for the climb, just can't be sure it's fundamentals, conversely the same could be said for the opposite regarding MNKD regarding current valuation and fundamentals per se IMO

Joey, I can only imagine the conversation you and Spiro must have had. But I know there was more than koolaid being imbibed. We were thinking how valuable Afrezza was so in the bitcoin context let me explain, see Spiro had rec'd some 8 unit cartridges over a year ago which he had in his refrigerator. As circumstance would have it, he doesn't have a need for 8 unit cartridges as he only requires 4 unit ones when dosing (I'm so envious of that btw as for him 4 units has maintained his consistent 6.1) so he brought the 8 unit ones that he wasn't going to use and was thoughtful enough to give them to me. I placed a high value on what that meant to me so in turn that is how Spiro paid for his dinner, he couldn't have done that with Bitcoin as I don't believe the restaurant accepts it at this time. However, I was so grateful for this thoughtfulness and taking the time to remember to bring the 8 unit cartridges and what that meant for me until my coverage kicks in Jan. with Express Scripts I had to barter with picking up dinner ....he keeps insisting it wasn't necessary but I got way the better of the trade IMO !!!!

On the positive side, people who wanted to sell at a loss to offset capital gains can now offset even more of those gains! One would have to enter that at their own risk at this point with the 30 days being post 1/15 at this point, IMO. They could come out smelling like a rose or sick to their stomachs for trying to time a write off. Loss on expiring options is one thing, losses from selling a stock to mitigate paying taxes is another if you do have to chase the price up later on, that is the risk you run by selling within the last 15 days of the year As a reminder to those newer to investing: The rule defines a wash sale as one that occurs when an individual sells or trades a security at a loss, and within 30 days before or after this sale, buys a “substantially identical” stock or security, or acquires a contract or option to do so.

There is a huge difference between Michael K., Nate, and Spencer! Michael K and Nate make their living in the market. Spencer is just a paid SA author and makes his living doing something else. ( The big-time shorts and the little time shorts follow him. Otherwise Michael K wouldn’t even acknowledge him.) Nate and Michael have seen this play out hundreds of times before in the biotech industry. They are in a better position to know. Someone did get Spencer to say that the stock could go down to $2 or spike to $5:-) Sports, you know the regard in which I hold you and the respect I have for all the hard work and time you put in for the benefit of all longs and for PWD. But, as between MK's call for $10 by end of the year and SO call of $2, which is more likely to come true? I will admit to being in a giant haze of disgust with the share price over the last two trading days. I was not in disgust when I purchased shares in Aug. at $1.19 nor will I be now, the first lot was very profitable, the second one I expect to as well....disgust to some, opportunity to others it's all in which perspective you look at it. If Kovacocy's timing is off by say 30 days does it really matter (other than those holding 1/15 options of course which should understand the risk of investing in options)? Personally, I would be thrilled with a retracement back to the Oct. highs as a first step towards his $10 target, think how disgusted you would feel buying here and having that retracement happen...again we will hear the "should of bought back then" statements and I will remind those again if and when the time comes. All in perspective my friend ....kind of reminds me of kicking myself not taking the Panthers yesterday when Rogers came back for his first game...in hindsight it was a no brainer...I'm sure an ole good buddy from Chicago had them though

I think it is plain as day, one only has to ask themselves what purpose does it serve to write 5 articles on one company in 7 days from someone that states they have no financial interest? Then to top it off, he states "Michael Kovacocy and I look at this company in different ways. That is fine. It is healthy. It gives readers various perspectives." Yet if you call him out with facts that are not in line with his opinion he gets your views and statements countering his deleted like a child that cries to their mother, he cries to the SA editors. Again, it is blatantly obvious that he and his pilot fish (pilot fish are the little fish that host off of the shark and swim in and around it's mouth and teeth eating the bacteria) are there for more than just "a writing hobby". He went so far as to state I was stalking and black mailing him LOLOL!!! because I was questioning his objectivity while he holds a long position in a competing pharma. IMO he is out of control at this point....5 articles in 7 days from him and now the laughable one from LFD smacks of desperation IMO. Perspective, the selloff today is on volume of what 1/20th the amt. when we had the big run up days, think about that for a minute Yes. The timing of the flurry of SO articles and comments along with the LFD hit piece that only looks backward is a reminder of the phrase, "Methinks thou does protest too much". This might just be the end-of-the-year, grand finale attempted take down only to be followed by the expected big rise in scripts and some good partnership and international announcements. May the best team win! Yes akemp, it "wreaks" of desperation with a vengeance!! Perhaps they feel they have been wronged by MC and his stepping in and executing, especially the equity raise in October, seems like there is an unhappy contingent along with that record short interest that was hanging out there at the end of November, yeah just a coincidence you see 5 count them 5 articles in one week, deletions of truthful posts, etc. wreak rēk/Submit verb 3rd person present: wreaks cause (a large amount of damage or harm). "torrential rainstorms wreaked havoc yesterday" synonyms: inflict, bestow, mete out, administer, deliver, impose, exact, create, cause, result in, effect, engender, bring about, perpetrate, unleash, let loose, vent; formaleffectuate "the damage this storm has wreaked is inestimable" inflict (vengeance). "he was determined to wreak his revenge on the girl who had rejected him" archaic avenge (someone who has been wronged). "grant me some knight to wreak me for my son"

No pictures? Would love to see pictures! Not of the mantis family of course. Sorry Novafett, no pics allowed as I suspect I'm on the 10 most wanted list from the dark side, my (truthful and factual) posts keep getting deleted by the "dark side" (very appropriate having just seen the new Star Wars episode). Speaking of which, here is my latest regarding the article published today, I have to memorialize them somewhere so why not here where freedom of speech and thought are welcomed In full context this was in response to a comment made by an alleged doctor who claimed that it's just the investors that look favorable at Afrezza and not the patients: WRONG DOC!! It makes great sense for the patients, I am BOTH a patient and an investor because of how great the product works and false statements like that are exactly why I continue to add to the position at these levels. The author is completely wrong in his assessment, insurance has been the hindrance to the scripts not the validity of the product. There is blatant collusion between UHC and NVO to block the product and that has been going on since the inception of the product. The product is a LIFE SAVER for PWD both from an indication standpoint medically AND from a convenience standpoint. The series of articles that are coming out in the past week are a desperate attempt as evidenced between this and the 5 articles that Spencer Osborne wrote in a 7 day period. It is plain as day that two authors that state they have no positions and are pounding the table about the demise of the company are totally misguided about the effectiveness of the drug and the correct reasons for the growth in scripts. Nothing can be further from the truth with what the author of this article is stating about inhalable insulin in Afrezza's case with his statement about PWD not wanting it. There are many that are wanting it and being blocked from getting it through their insurance carrier. I am one of those that was blocked for the period of time (since it's FDA approval) that the author is referring to due to the collusion between my insurance carrier and MNKD's competitor. I suspect that this will get deleted due to it being a counter-argument to the article and most of my comments (the facts and truth) now are being removed, so I have to memorialize them and post them elsewhere.

Hopefully your dinner was at Echo & Rig in Summerlin! One of the best steak houses I have been to & Kinghts hockey players love to eat at! No it was at Gallagher's in NYNY a short walk from the arena....ask Spiro how the bone-in filet's were ....the bread was nothing, it was the four Maker's Marks (two at dinner and a double at the game that my son bought me...keep in mind it was my birthday don't worry, took extra cartridges with me and had a correction dose sitting in my seat at the arena afterwards...Awesome seeing Spiro and his good friend, hopefully down the road we'll be sharing with others while having a good restaurant shut their doors with one of those "closed for private party" signs taped to the door and inside a lot of good times and celebration going on

For those that refuse to read SO's articles there is the most recent weekly one today that talks about scripts, the following is my comment posted so thought I would share and also memorialize if for some reason they come up with a reason for deleting Readers: Fact: This author is currently long ARNA which is in clinical trials to develop a drug to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) of which MNKD has stated is the next product it plans on developing and has had favorable discussions with the FDA about an inhalable form of an existing approved treatment. This in and of itself brings into question the distinct possibility that there is an inherent potential of a conflict of interest. As much as the author may feel that potential issue doesn't exist, the fact remains that it absolutely does due to the direct competitive nature in the pharmaceutical business. The author should not take it personally but rather accept that as long as he has a potentially competing position it can lead to some questioning if nothing else at a minimum the potential for sub-conscious bias to exist. Also a fact in full disclosure I am long MNKD and also have a direct conflict of interest as a current user of Afrezza. However, although gains financially from any appreciation of the equity would of course be welcomed, more importantly is my interest in seeing the drug's success from a selfish health aspect as well as for others that are afflicted with the disease. It has taken me close to two years to get my prescription filled primarily due to being on United Healthcare's plan and prescription arm via OPTUM. Thankfully that has changed due to having the option during my most recent open enrollment to switch to Express Scripts which covers Afrezza with no issues. MNKD's corporate mgmt. and sales team were instrumental in helping me both with referring me to an existing endo practice that has worked with and is an advocate of the product since the SNY rep was calling on them. If appointment times are any indication their practice must be thriving due to length of time to schedule a visit. Having since started on Afrezza, my blood glucose levels have dropped to much more manageable levels and I fully expect that at my next scheduled visit my labs will show a significant drop in my Hba1c reading. I recently met with as some may know as Spiro who has been on Afrezza for almost two years and his reading (which have been posted publicly) continue to come in at non-diabetic numbers with no reported side effects. I do not disagree with the author's current numbers regarding scripts, however, I do believe that the ad campaign and continued progress with patient and provider awareness and demand, the pressure and long battle with insurance will absolutely eventually get resolved. The ultimate question is how long will that take but the company continues to make progress every day/week/month as time goes by. Overall, considering this was essentially originally a research and manufacturing entity it has made RELATIVELY considerable strides in becoming a stand alone innovative pharmaceutical company. Regarding the s/p one has to also realize that there was all time record short interest (as of close of business 11/30) so the battle between those hardened in their investing beliefs continue to make this a battleground stock, although with the competitive nature of the industry and what's potentially at stake it should not come as any surprise to those that have been following it for years.
